Installation of the sensor into solar collectors
Newer solar collectors are already equipped with thermowells for the installation of a submersible temperature sensor. Make sure that the sensor is fully seated in the thermowell and that the rubber seal is applied on the outside or the silicone kit is used. Always insert the sensor into the output or backside collector in the collector field. When you must mount the sensor in the piping, this is carried out so that the T-piece is installed on the outlet connection of the collectors and a dedicated thermowell is used for the TH2 solar collectors. In this way, you ensure that the submersible sensor can be mounted deep enough into the body of the collector and thereby ensure proper operation of the solar heating system control.
The sensor is mounted in a built-in thermowell or installation strip so that the sensor is placed at a height ranging from ¼ to ½ of the height of the associated heat exchanger.
